STV has teamed up with The Open University to give one lucky winner the chance to win a year’s free study with The Open University and a laptop to get you started with your studies!

Competition closes 11 February 2013 and the winner will be notified soon afterwards. The winner will also be announced on The Open University website.

Rules: The prize draw closes at 11:59pm on the 11 February 2013, and the winner will be selected at random. The winner will be notified by 18 February 2013.
The prize is to study with The Open University up to the value of £4,500. There will be no reimbursement if the study value is less than £4,500.
The prize includes a laptop and Microsoft Windows 7 to the value of £500 registration. The winner will receive the laptop after registration. After registration, laptop will be dispatched.
No cash alternative is available; the prize is non-transferable and can be taken only by the winner.
The winner must confirm the module(s) of their choice no later than 29 March 2013 following advice from an OU Student Services Representative.
Upon registration as a student on the chosen module (s), the winner will be bound by standard OU student terms and conditions.
Study can only be commenced after 1 March 2013 and must be completed by 31 December 2015.
The OU reserves the right to exclude any of its modules from the prize. The prize can be redeemed against any available modules up the maximum value stated. Standard OU terms and conditions regarding OU modules (including the criteria to study) apply. The winner must discuss the module(s) of their choice with an OU Student Services Representative to ensure its level and workload is suitable for the individual.
After the free modules have been completed, it is the responsibility of the winner to pay for and organise further study requirements.
The prize is subject to availability and OU standard entry requirements.
Study can either be at undergraduate level or postgraduate level.
The OU will have no liability or responsibility to the winner except as set out in the standard OU student terms and conditions.
By entering the prize draw, you automatically agree to receive further communications from the OU about its products and services.
The winner agrees to be contacted by the OU to partake in any publicity in relation to this prize draw.
The winner must pay for all other costs related to study with the OU e.g. travel, accommodation, additional study materials and equipment etc.
The prize draw is open to UK residents only and the prize is not available to non-UK residents.
There is only one prize available.
Only one entry per person is allowed.
