Where are you? February 2013
With it's ever-changing, futuristic skyline and buzzing Old Town, Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is now one of the most thrilling cities in the world to visit. And where better to experience this booming metropolis on the shores of the Caspian Sea than at the super-modern, five-star JW Marriott Absheron Baku?
Enter this month's Where Are You? Competition and you could win a holiday for two here. The prize, worth about £3,300, includes five nights' accommodation on a bed-and-breakfast basis in a Deluxe Sea View room, a welcome dinner in OroNero Bar & Ristorante, return flights from London and transfers.

Identify the location on page 152 of Condé Nast Traveller February 2013 and send in your entry to arrive by 28 February. All correct entries will also be included in the Grand Prize draw at the end of the current competition period (1 October 2012-30 September 2013).

If it wasn't for the tiny cluster of houses (barely distinguishable in the centre of the picture) and the dusty track, you could imagine sharp-toothed pterodactyls swooping menacingly over this land that time forgot. While prehistoric creatures may well have stalked across these ancient rocks, the area wasnt inhabited by humans until about 4,000 years ago. Visiting the region's main valley today - now a national park and on the Unesco World Heritage List - is like walking back in time, with sacred Byzantine art, troglodyte dwellings and honeycombs of underground towns dating back to the fourth century AD.
The valley's hidden cave churches were hewn by human hands, but the more visible architectural wonders - column pillars, chimneys and pyramids - were carved by wind and water alone. Where are you?

My Answer: Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia, Turkey
